PARIS, MIAMI, SINGAPORE, NOVEMBER 17, 2015 – ATEME announced today that Basmedia, a centralized and decentralized playout service provider, is launching the HEVC Ultra High Definition (UHD) service “Festival 4K”, using TITAN Live.
TITAN Live is a virtualized software-based encoder-transcoder, with support for HEVC, H264 and MPEG2. TITAN Live supports resolutions from mobile devices to 4K-UHD, including:
- Premium Video quality: TITAN Live is based on ATEME’s fifth generation STREAM © compression engine, enabling both high CBR VQ at minimum bitrate and QAM density increase without compromising Video Quality
- Future-proof and easily scalable: TITAN Live can be easily upgraded to support HEVC and 4K-UHD, ensuring customers deploying H264 services with an upgrade path to HEVC and monetization of their hardware investment
- True software-based solution: this pure CPU solution is hardware agnostic delivering high VQ at high density without the need any hardware acceleration
