Paris, April 12th, 2012. Visitors to ATEME’s booth at NAB 2012 will find its new location #3002 conveniently located near the entrance of the South Upper hall in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Product demonstrations on display will feature the TITAN video processing platform for live and file content delivery to multiple screens, as well as the Kyrion line of encoders, decoders and management system for broadcast contribution and distribution services.
TITAN 3X is the theme of the multi-screen transcoding exhibit. Since the last NAB, ATEME has tripled the transcoding throughput of live and on demand content that the Intel® based server platform can deliver. The workflow capabilities of TITAN have also grown, with feature additions such a file concatenation, the ability to pause & append transcoding jobs, or to start transcoding an asset before it is completely acquired – an important addition that significantly reduces the turn-around time of content for ‘next-day TV’ services.
Kyrion encoder and decoder demonstrations will emphasize the capabilities of the product line for 1080p50/60 in broadcast contribution services, using H.264 compression up to 4:2:2 10-bit over fiber or satellite. In broadcast distribution, the focus will be on operational efficiency and the latest Kyrion AM2102 model for ISDB-Tb terrestrial HD and mobile TV deployments.
