ATEME, major global player of video delivery, breaks the staff count of 100 engineers in the Rennes offices
PARIS, DENVER, SINGAPORE, SAO PAULO, DECEMBER 11, 2020 – ATEME are the leaders in video compression for service providers in cable, satellite, telecom, terrestrial and OTT and content providers. ATEME proudly announced that there are more than 100 ATEME engineers based in the Rennes area.
This company started in 1991 and is a specialist manufacturer and developer of compression video equipment and software with a commercial presence in 24 countries and more than 400 clients in 2019. With its client base of television stations, telecom operators and international broadcasters, 90% of its turnover comes from outside France.
Ending 2020 with the successful acquisition of Anevia−software and OTT distribution specialists−ATEME now boasts more than 430 collaborators, including some of the best video experts in the industry. Now, ATEME has 3 R&D centres in Paris, Grenoble and the historical centre of analog television of Rennes.
With a trajectory of 20% growth each year since 2010, doubled profits since 2016 and a desire to constantly launch more innovative video solutions, ATEME continues to increase investment and attractivity into Rennes with novel projects. ATEME currently holds 52 international patents as well as a conductive and stimulating work environment.
The Rennes site opened in 2015 and celebrates passing the cap of 100 engineers today. This number will increase to 110 at the end of the year. It is also worth mentioning that Rennes has the largest R&D centre in the ATEME organization.
