LeWeb12 (www.leweb.co) is an international conference organised by French entrepreneur Loïc Le Meur. Started in 2004 in Paris, LeWeb gathers entrepreneurs, sponsors, venture capitalists, visionaries and politicians who together shape the next future ideas of the internet and new technologies. This year the event took place from the 4th to 6th of December 2012 with the theme heading “Internet of Things”. More than 75 countries participated and many companies came to announce new products or new services. LeWeb13 will be held for the first time in London, June 2013.
FranceTelévisions, the official partner of LeWeb12 was present at this event with its futurist stand called “The Connected Home”. Presented in a form of a living room, the stand exposed new technology and innovative objects, which any household might be using in the near future.
The Sony 84 inch UHD (Ultra High Definition) TV was placed in the center of the France Télévisions “Connected home” stand, showing beautiful 4K resolution content.
The exceptional quality of the image attracted many visitors who observed the screen with amazement and admiration.
Some of the demonstrated content was prepared and encoded by ATEME. “It was a great honour for us to be present at the FranceTélévisions stand at the occasion of LeWeb12, an event allowing companies and startups to display the excellence of its talents and expertise”, said Jérôme Vieron, ATEME advanced research manager. He added, “We thank FranceTélévisions for offering us this opportunity, which allowed us once again to prove our expertise in video compression and pristine video quality.
