ATEME is taking part in a reserach program called 4EVER with the aim to reduce the bandwidth needed to deliver Ultra High Definition Television (UHDTV) using High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC).
The 4EVER project aims at researching, developing and promoting a better video Quality of Experience and putting premium audiovisual content access within everyone’s reach, for all populations and in any situation (homes, mobiles, cinemas) thanks to :
HEVC (future MPEG/ITU standard) codec development; Ultra High Definition new format definition and qualification.
Other participants : Orange Labs, ATEME, France Télévisions, GlobeCast, TeamCast, Technicolor and Doremi, as well as the Télécom ParisTech and INSA-IETR University labs.
